    Our Office Policies and Standards:

    Emergencies

    If you experience a dental emergency during office hours, please contact us immediately and we will accommodate you that same day. In case of an emergency after hours, please call our office to be connected with our answering service. They will page our dentists and someone will get back to you as soon as possible to ensure your concern is addressed and treated.

    Referrals to Specialists

    We have great relationships and work with excellent Endodontists, Oral surgeons, Orthodontists, and Periodontists. If needed, we will be happy to set up an appointment for you and we will communicate with the specialist’s office throughout your treatment with them, so that x-rays, information, and reports are shared between the specialist and our doctors.

    Insurance

    We realize that financing the smile you were meant to have can be a concern. We also know that having that smile is priceless. Our office will work with you and your insurance company to make your dream a reality.
    Insurance companies are not always easy or pleasant to deal with. We have an on-site billing specialist who will make every effort to handle, process, and follow up on your claim to make sure they get paid. This specialist is available daily to answer any questions you have regarding your dental insurance or claims. Every insurance plan is different and may pay differently so, at your request, we can pre-authorize any needed treatment to get an accurate estimate. Please note that the insurance companies may take up to four weeks to provide us with an answer.

    Our office currently accepts the following types of payments: Cash, Checks, American Express, Mastercard, Visa ,Discover and Care Credit.

    Cancellations

    At Santa Martha Dental, we strive to establish and maintain good relationships with our patients. We provide quality treatment and dedicate time specifically for your appointment. If you do not keep your appointment, that time is lost and adds significantly to our overhead. We make every effort to keep our fees reasonable, but missed appointments can make this difficult. We appreciate you as a patient and in return we ask for the same consideration.

    HIPAA

    The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 requires all healthcare providers to maintain the privacy of your health information. Federal and state law mandates this act and we are legally bound to follow it. We will not share any of your personal, medical, or dental information without your consent. When given consent, we will only share information that is pertinent to your health care.

    OSHA

    The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was established so that the workplace is safer, healthier and more productive. This is done by bringing together and sharing knowledge and information, to promote a culture of risk prevention. OSHA aims to identify new and emerging risks and to promote early preventive action. It describes trends and underlying factors and anticipates changes in the working environment and their likely consequences to health and safety.

    Referral System

    The highest compliment we can receive is the referral of a family member, friend, or colleague. It shows that you trust us and are confident that we will take good care of your loved ones, which we will! As we are a growing office, we are always accepting new patients and appreciate the opportunity to meet other great people who are an extension of you.
    We like to show our gratitude with customized gifts as well as dental gift certificates, which can be applied towards dental services and products at our office.
